OK before I get into my spiel (I know a lot of peeps don't read the words and only look at the pictures!!), here is an outfit pic for you!! It's not a Follow in Their Footsteps Friday post sadly... but maybe it is following someone's footsteps, somewhere. Like a lot of fashion does I think.

It is SO DANG HARD to blog every day, I have no idea how you people do it. I must admit, I really was into when I started, and now I am less motivated to keep up with it!! I was thinking that it might be because it's almost summer. I mean, it's JUNE already! And seriously, howww did that happen... this year has gone by the fastest ever, I feel like I am on a Merry-Go-Round and just hanging on while everything passes by me in a blur. I don't like that feeling so much. That time-marches-on feeling. What can ya do??

Well, work has been busy as usual, and these past weekends so jam-packed with happenings that I honestly haven't even opened my computer at all this past month. Crazy sauce. But I'm up early this morning, and thought I would post in my blog (what an idea!) before I began on my huge to-do list.

Kate and I are trying to get our garden in shape, which is hard without an outside water source. (Long story--read back to my "a pipe burst in our house!" post in February...) Well that pipe was the only pipe that connected to the outside of the house, so gardening is going to be tricky!! Oh... we WILL do it anyway. Our yard has such potential!!

I also have GOT to go through my clothes and get rid of about half of what I have. Hahahaa. Yah. That IS laughable. I am the worst at getting rid of things, clothes especially. But I am also very good at acquiring newwww clothes, and I am running out of space. Sooo some stuff has GOT to go!!

Ohhh... it's really not fun.   :0 )

OK I'm off to garden and get rid of clothes!! I won't say I promise to update tomorrow and blah blah blah, because we can all see that that would nottt be a truthful statement!   =)

Follow in Their Footsteps Friday: I've Got the Blues

Today's inspiration came from Melanie Brown, and the image I found is from The Budget Babe! My goodness, I LOVE that site. It is awesomely awesome.

So this outfit really inspired me, mainly because of the black/blue aspect!! I used to hate this combo, but now it is one of my favorites! Weird how things change, eh?  :0 )

The title of my post has a few meanings for me today. One, because of the blue in my outfit... obviously. Two, cause I do really have the blues (I am in the dumps today... and it's kinda too personal to just start rambling about it on my blog even though that is usually how I deal with my problems... but not really feelin' it this time), and three, cause I am headed to the blueness of the lake today. After work. It's gonna be windy, and wow is it a pretty long drive, but I think it will do me good to get away. 

I love escaping! I am pretty good at it too, I must say.

I think we all escape in our own way... this time, I choose to be lake-bound! I will post pics when I get back! I have decided I need to make this blog more than just outfits, and enviro-tips haha! Maybe then I will have more material to update it with!

Me Oh My, May is Nigh!!

Ok, so that title was a little corny. It is obviously very apparent by now that I get quite a kick out of alliteration and rhyming.

So the reason I have been absent for so long, is because I have been absolutely swamped by work. I basically was in charge of putting together an entire town hall in what one would call quite a short amount of time, and I had other responsibilities that needed to get done for another event, and Earth Day was April 22, plus all of my other duties. So, I was busy.

I really want to keep up with this! But, at least I haven't let it completely fall by the wayside...

That's right... I'm a tree hugger!!!  :0 )   But even I can do better... I do always try to include thoughts of the environment in everything I do, though. It can get pretty tough sometimes.

Follow in Their Footsteps Friday: Black, Blue and Brown

 This week, I got my inspiration from the lovely Emily of Tomorrow Never Knows. I saw her outfit, and I was just completely inspired! Mostly because I have never worn black, brown and blue together, because I never thought I could pull it off. But I think this has now become one of my favorite outfits!! The one thing I was missing, unfortunately, was the leopard scarf... and I really think that adds something, so I will have to revisit this outfit at a later date! But thank you Emily!

I am spending a lovely weekend in Denver! We are planning to go to the Molly Brown House, the Denver Art Museum, and the Stanley Hotel! I have been to the latter before, but I loveeee it. 

Ghost stories, man... they are right up my alley.

Oh, and APRIL FOOL'S DAY!! Didn't think of anything worthy enough to post up here... but I got my friends and fam goooooood! Hahahaa.

Aquarium Bound

 

A bit of weird title, I suppose. But I am headed to Denver this weekend with my fam to go SNORKELING! I think I may just be a bit excited. I really want to go on a trip, I am getting a bit stir-crazy, and while I would love for that destination to be Greece or Thailand, I am very down with settling for Denver at the moment. 

We're headed up there because my sister and her fiance live there, and my uncle will be coming into town for a lil visit! He is cooler and knows how to scuba dive... does my sister's fiance... I want to learn!!! How completely amazing would that be... ahhhh being underwater is unlike anything else to me on this earth. I absolutely love it. Yah, should probably get on that. My boyfriend is certified in scuba diving too!! Yeow, I am the slacker scuba student apparently...

This outfit is just something I threw together once cause I really wanted to wear these shoes. Love these shoes, but I find they are a bit challenging to incorporate into outfits. I think it worked here though! Black tights... can't really go wrong? I think that's a true statement... at least I hope it is.

 Hurrah! I finally posted again. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted! I am extremely busy at work as of late because it is nearing Earth Day and I work for the Environmental Division, so there is a lot of planning going on. But I really like it! Who wouldn't like helping the planet, even if it is baby steps at a time??

It is those baby steps that turn into great strides...
